Eri silk fabric, also known as Endi are indigenous to the states of North East India especially the state of Assam, the humid climate of Northeast India is very favourable for the eri culture. This silk is derived from eri worm, without killing the silkworm, this peace silk is, therefore, a very popular fibre among vegans and Buddhists.
